Residential Property Management
Our Residential Services Division manages one of the largest and most notable residential portfolios in metropolitan Washington, comprised of common-interest (condominiums, cooperatives and homeowner associations) and multi-family apartment buildings (garden style and high-rise). With over 25,000 residential units under management, Zalco counts among its current clients some of Washington's most prestigious addresses, such as, The Watergate downtown, Montebello in
Northern Virginia, and The Willoughby in
Chevy Chase, Maryland. The Willoughby was recently named 'Community
Association of the Year for 2003' (large community category) by the
Washington Chapter of the Community Associations Institute, an award
presented to 'recognize the best community associations, excelling in all facets of their operations'.
The
majority of the properties in our portfolio have been Zalco
clients for an average of 10 years, but several have been with
our firm for over 20 years.
As
with Commercial
Property Management, our full-service residential
clients have access to the most diverse management package in
greater Washington, with a broad array of in-house service categories
such as Engineering,
Financial,
Legal Liaison
and others. These services are provided through a highly trained
group of residential managers, nearly all of who have at least
one professional designation, which, as explained more fully
in our Affiliations & Designations section, evidences that
these individuals have acquired substantial industry experience
and completed challenging courses of continuing education and
training. And all of our property-management clients receive
coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, every day of the year.
After-hours and on weekends and holidays, two of our residential
managers are designated as 'Emergency Duty Officers', who are
both on call and are immediately available to respond to any
emergency.
With our winning combination of experienced managers, substantial in-house resources and extensive operational coverage, we provide our managed communities with the tools necessary to enhance the quality of life for all of their residents. If the facts were otherwise, we would never have been able to sustain the level of growth that Zalco has experienced over the last three decades.
President
Arthur Dubin
heads up the Residential Services Division. Vice Presidents
Donald
Perper, Thomas
Willis, and Dennis Freeman,
three of Zalco's most experienced managers, assist him.
