Operational Overview
One of our greatest assets is our diverse and comprehensive in-house expertise, which offers one of the most-varied service menus of any Washington-area-based real estate firm. These services are provided through our four operational divisions, each working in close concert with the others and guided by a member of our experienced
Executive Team. As discussed in more detail in our Company Overview, these four divisions comprise over 600 personnel and maintain our extensive and ever-growing leasing/management/services portfolio, which includes numerous high-profile clients and several-billion-dollars worth of properties.
Our
Commercial Division is headed by Chairman ZJ Chelec. Services
provided through this Division include: commercial brokerage
(leasing and sales), property management, debt-placement consultation,
and related legal liaison and monitoring.
Our
Residential Services Division is headed by our President Arthur
Dubin. Services provided through this Division include:
common-interest property management, rental-property management,
and related legal liaison and monitoring.
Our Engineering Division is led by
Michael Gilmore. This Division provides overall general support to both the Residential Services and Commercial Divisions in the following service areas:
construction supervision and management;
building-systems maintenance and repair;
inspections;
long-term facilities maintenance planning;
utility-usage evaluation and purchasing; as well as our own
in-house engineering school for on-site staff All of these service areas are also available directly through the Engineering Division to third parties (i.e., those who are not existing Zalco clients) on an hourly or flat-fee basis.
Our Accounting and Financial Services Division is headed by
Michael
Falla, one of Zalco's two CPA's. This Division supports all other Divisions and provides full or limited customized financial services tailored to the client’s specific needs.
All Divisions are overseen by Zalco's Chairman,
Z.J. Chelec.
